Behavioural Engineering
Competency models describe what skills look like at each level. ASE develops them through a structured coaching programme with repeated practice, practical exercises, and observable behavioural indicators.
Better engineers build software that is clear, tested and easy to change.
ASE develops software engineering competence, checked against leading competency models.
The Swiss ICT industry is moving from job titles to competency-based roles. swissICT has renamed its reference from “ICT Professions” to “ICT Roles”.
Competency models describe what skills look like at each level. ASE develops them through a structured coaching programme with repeated practice, practical exercises, and observable behavioural indicators.
ASE builds capability through guided practice and verifies progress with certification at each level. 185 tasks in the curriculum.
ASE includes coaching in the responsible use of AI tools: developers learn to work with them and to check what they produce with their own judgement, tests and engineering standards.
The Foundation Level leads from Junior (S1) towards Professional (S2). Each further level is the next step.

Our assessment: how strongly the programme covers the competence areas of a software engineering profile
Quarterly assessments and level-based certifications give HR and managers a clear view of capability development.
1:1 coaching integrated into daily work. No classroom training. Developers learn while working on their own code and within their own projects.
We don't name our clients publicly: that is their wish. What we can say.
Let's discuss how the ASE Coaching Program can support your organisation's role framework.
